How Quickly the Seasons Spin
3 March 2009

... back to March, that time when indoor tulips stare out of frost covered windows with horror, and, sick of waiting, the last fly drops dead on the radiator grill. "Much better than finding the mouth of your new carnivorous plant," you could say. And you'd be right. Nobody likes being digested.

But March is also a time of change and rebirth. Not for plants, thanks to Alberta's "accommodating" climate, but for the DailyHaiku contributor team. Until March 31st, we are accepting submissions for DailyHaiku Vol. 4, Cycle 7. If you have some work you think would fit with our publishing preferences, check out our updated submission guidelines and send us a submission! We look forward to seeing your work.

And if those March snow storms are still getting you down, maybe stop by your local literary purveyor and pick up a copy of the new Antigonish Review, Iss. 156. Not only is there some exciting new work by Catherine Owen and Yvonne Blomer, but I've got a couple of pieces in there as well (a haibun and an interlaced ghazal).

Here's hoping for a bright green Spring. Until then, I'm going ice diving.
